    Hiring Process & Evaluation

Our hiring process is structured for technical rigor and mutual evaluation. We assess technical capability, analytical methodology, and institutional alignment through a defined sequence of reviews.

    1

    Application Review

All applications are reviewed by technical program leads against defined qualification criteria. Submissions are evaluated for technical depth, relevant experience, and alignment with current program requirements. The existing job board and application submission structure remain the sole mechanism for formal applications.

    2

    Technical Screening

Qualified candidates participate in an initial technical screening conducted by a subject matter expert. This assessment evaluates core competencies, domain knowledge, and analytical capability relevant to the target position.

    3

    Engineering Interview Panels

Candidates who pass technical screening are invited to structured interviews with engineering panels. Panel composition is matched to the candidate's technical domain and typically includes two to three senior engineers or scientists from the relevant program area.

    4

    Problem-Solving Assessment

Candidates are presented with technical problem-solving exercises representative of the work performed in the target role. Assessments are designed to evaluate analytical methodology, systems thinking, and communication of technical rationale — not to test memorization or trick questions.

    5

    Cultural & Accountability Alignment Discussion

A dedicated discussion with program leadership evaluates alignment with institutional performance standards, mission accountability expectations, and collaborative work norms. This is a mutual assessment — candidates should evaluate whether the institutional culture supports their professional objectives.

    6

    Security & Compliance Review

Positions requiring access to export-controlled information undergo security and compliance verification. This process is conducted in accordance with applicable ITAR, EAR, and facility security requirements. Where a position involves clearance eligibility or federal site access, the separate processes are explained on our Security Clearance & Site Access page.

    Decision Velocity Commitment

We respect candidates' time and professional circumstances. Our target is to complete the evaluation process within three weeks of initial screening. Candidates receive clear, timely communication at each stage. Feedback is provided to all candidates who complete the interview process.
